Noun «what makes it unique», was born from the desire to find the perfect balance between the contemporary world we are living in and Jessica’s multicultural heritage.
Describing herself as an eclipse, IBEKA’s founder, Jessica Carré was born from a French father and a Togolese mother.
After a couple of years studying Political Science in Montreal. she realized that designing handbags was more in tune with the expression of her creative vision and expression.
She then enrolled for a Master in Fashion Marketing and Communication in Paris before perfectionning her skills at the Parsons School in New York.
Strongly inspired by Sonia Delaunay’s work and the Orphism movement, IBEKA handbags are handmade near Florence, only using the best italian leather to guarantee exceptional quality and longevity .
